Free pattern – Aang from Nickelodeon’s Avatar the last Airbender

For instructions I recommend PlanetJune on youtube.  Her online tutorials are very easy to learn

Magic ring
Invisible decrease

I use these abbreviations

ch = Chain
dec = Use the invisible decrease, insert your hook into the frontloops of the next two stitshes, yarn over draw through the first two loops, yarn over through the remaining two stitches
dc = Double crochet
hdc = Half double crochet
inc = 2 sc in next stitch
sc = Single crochet stitch
FLO = Front loops only
BLO = Back loops only

Head and body

Change color to orange

Finish off and leave enough yarn to attach the arms to Aang’s body.

Red coat

Use red yarn.
Rnd 1: Chain 5
Rnd 2: 1 sc in next st from chain, 3 sc, chain 1, turn (4)
Rnd 3-34: Repeat rnd 2
Finish off and leave enough yarn to attach his rope around his neck after you’ve crocheted the collar.

Collar

Use orange yarn.

Finish off. Leave enough yarn to attach Momo to Aang.

Ears

Use cream yarn.

Finish off and leave enough yarn to attach the tail to the back of the head of Momo.

When you finished Momo you can attach him to the shoulder of Aang and curl his tail around the other shoulder (maybe you need to attach the tail to, I did) , or you can finish off the yarn and leave Momo loose.
